Thórsmörk

The Þórsmörk valley is one of Iceland's hidden gems and, if you're the adventurous type, you will enjoy that the only way to get there is by crossing multiple rivers. The area has plenty to offer: you will get to stop at a glacier tongue that melted away after the Eyjafjallajökull eruption, see the amazing landscape and a natural forest, explore different canyons, spot arctic foxes and much much more! I highly recommend staying either one or more night's at the Volcano Huts to use it as a base to explore the area. This place should be on every (photographer's) list.
