This combo tour of whale watching and sea angling is a great introduction to the cultural significance of the ocean in Iceland. It is a trip that is suitable for all ages as well as people of all experience levels!
The boat you will sail on is has many fishing rods and waterproof jackets for people who are fishing. Whether you are a master angler or are looking for a lazy way to pass by an afternoon there is something to find here. You have a choice between two boats for this tour, Rósin and Andrea. Both are reliable and offer different experiences.
Rósin is our Express boat. It gets you out to the whale watching area faster than the other boats so you can spend a longer time whale watching. The Andrea is the biggest whale watching boat in Iceland. She has an educational and interactive focus, is very family friendly and has a cafeteria.
Whale sightings in Faxaflói bay include Minke whales and Humpback whales. White-Beaked Dolphins and Harbour Porpoises are also often seen.
Note: The whale watching and sea angling are two separate tours and you do not have to do them on the same day.
