Snorkeling & Northern Lights by Boat

In Silfra you float between the North-American plate and the Eurasian plate surrounded by the amazing clarity of the water and the mesmerizing colours of this underwater world. On your way to Silfra your experienced guide tells you everything about the drifting plates and the amazing surroundings you drive through. You do not have to be a certified diver to join the snorkeling tour as long as you are comfortable in water this is a tour you cannot miss out on while staying in Iceland!

Make sure to drink some of the Silfra water while you are snorkeling! You might never be able to drink water so pure again.

When you get out from the water you enjoy a hot chocolate with some cookies to warm up again before you head back to Reykjavík.

In the evening you meet the graceful boat Andrea to join in on the hunt for the Northern Lights by Boat tour. While the guide tells you why the sky lights up in such bright colours you dress up in a warm overall and head out to the deck and search for the Aurora Borealis. We have our very own Northern Lights video ongoing throughout the tour on the lowest deck. It has all kinds of interesting facts about the amazing auroras.
