If you can’t get down to see a glacier, then let us bring the glacier to you!
Visit a Glacier AND an Ice cave right in the heart of the city of Reykjavik in the first exhibition of it’s kind in the world!
Ice Cave exhibit
The Glacier and Ice Cave exhibition brings a glacier to the city center. The exhibition starts with a walk through of the first man-made ice cave of its kind in the world. The ice cave leads to a dramatic multimedia exhibit providing more detail about Iceland’s treasured glaciers, the future of glaciers and the effects of global warming. A perfect first stop on the trip to Iceland that is suitable for all ages.
The exhibit takes place in the Perlan building which you can reach via the number 18 bus or on the reykjavik hop-on hop-off city bus tour.
Perlan (English: The Pearl) is a landmark building in Reykjavík. Originally the location was home to a series of hot water tanks these were updated and given a spherical top. In 2017 the building also became home to a glacier and Ice cave exhibition which was the first of its kind.
Please remember this is a “Meet on location” tour in which you will need to travel up to Perlan. The museum is open from 8:00am – 7:00pm every day
